Things to know before booking

Can I have my photography session on the weekend?

Brand photography sessions are only held during the week. Headshot sessions are held once a month in South London on a weekend.

Can I rearrange my photography session at short notice?

Absolutely, there is no point in trying to get photos if you are poorly. However I ask that you give me 48 hours notice where possible. Sessions can only be postponed once.

How far will you travel?

I live in Herne Hill, South London but will travel up to 10 miles within London and Surrey. Anything over 10 miles will incur an additional travel charge.

Are you insured?

Yes, ShutterMe Photography has full public liability insurance.

When do I need to pay you?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is taken on booking. The remainder is payable one week before your session. Contact me for payment terms for yearly brand sessions.

How do I book?

Can I buy a gift voucher?

For a headshot session yes - this would make a fabulous gift. I will make up a personalised gift voucher for you. Please make sure the recipient lives in my catchment area in London or Surrey. Vouchers are valid for 6 months.

Questions about your session

Where will my session take place?

Your brand session can be held at your home, place of work or favourite outdoor location - or a mix of 2-3 locations (in London or Surrey). Mini brand and headshot sessions are at one location only.

Should I get my hair and make-up professionally done?

You will want to feel confident and amazing at your shoot and if having professional hair and makeup will achieve that it's a great idea, but it’s not a necessity. If you do I would suggest you use someone you have used before or who has been recommended to you in your local area.

What sort of images do you take at a brand session?

I will take a variety of photos - photos with you (headshot, full body including your work), photos of your work only, close ups, product shots. We will fully discuss your requirements at the consultation stage.

What should I wear?

It's best to wear light, neutral, non-patterned clothes or colours which match your brand colours. If you need it, I will help you choose and style outfits for your shoot at your pre-session consultation.

Help! I really hate being in front of the camera!

Don't worry, most of my clients aren't comfortable in front of the camera. At the consultation, I will give you advice on clothing and at the session I will guide you into the most flattering poses. My sessions are fun and relaxed so within minutes of the shoot you will forget about your worries!

Do you bring props?

No I don't but I encourage you to bring props in your brand colours which you think will enhance your photos. I will advise further at your pre-session consultation.

Do you include product images in the shoot?

Absolutely. If your brand includes products then I will capture those images during the session.

Info about photos and products

How many photos will you provide?

This depends on the session. Headshots are 5 images, mini brand sesions 10 images, full brand sessions 50+ images, yearly brand session 30+ images at each session.

Are digital images edited?

All images receive a basic edit and retouch, further extensive retouching is available but at an extra cost. High resolution images will be supplied via digital download.

How long will it be until I receive my photos?

I aim to get your images ready for you within two weeks of the shoot as I know you will be dying to see them!

What can I do with the images you provide?

You have full permission to use your images for your own marketing on your website, social media channels and in print.
